The Spark Creative.
The Spark Creative is a Bristol based digital marketing agency who specialise in website creation, SEO, PPC and social media. They provide tailored solutions combining beautiful design, seamless usability, and strategic marketing – focused on driving leads and growing businesses. As a fresh startup they came to me for help with creating a unique brand in a saturated market. The challenge was to create something that remained professional but different enough to stand out on it’s own.
The Concept.
I decided to emphasise the ‘spark’ element of the brand within the logomark as I felt this was a strong part of the brand identity that we could build upon.
The final result ended up using a wordmark that works excellently on it’s own but even better when paired with a pictorial mark taken from the wordmark itself, the spark icon. This clever adaptation (if I do say so myself) allows for an extensive visual identity with plenty of different applications.
Typeface & Colour.
The typeface had to reflect professionalism and get straight to the point, so a bold sans serif type was the perfect choice.
DM Sans fits the brief with it’s no fuss attitude, bold and modern look. It conveys a sense of power and confidence whilst remaining easily legible.
The colour palette was developed by using powerful colours that convey a sense of professionalism, confidence and success.
This simple yet effective colour palette suits the brand perfectly as it’s elegant and high end, which suits The Spark’s target market.
