Logo & Brand Design questions.

  • Logo design is the art of creating a visual symbol that represents a brand. It often depicts the company services and or background.

  • A logo is a visual representation that identifies your company. You need a strong logo design to stand apart from your competitors and to have your company be perceived as professional and established.

  • Your visual identity is a collection of visuals that represent your brand. This is your logo, colour palette, typography, design style and photography, etc.

  • Your brand identity includes everything in your visual identity and much more. This is your brand’s voice, name, story, personality and communication style, etc.

  • Your logo is the origin of your visual identity, and your visual identity is the penultimate step in forming your brand identity.

As stated in the above questions in more detail, a visual identity is everything visual about your brand. A brand identity is more about the personality of your brand. Think of it like this:

A person’s looks are their visual identity and their character is their brand identity.

  • It’s all about being recognisable and therefore trustworthy. Think of all the big brands you know, Apple, Coca Cola, Google, etc. you could recognise these brands at a quick glance right? Your audience is more likely to trust you if they recognise you.

  • This is what I specialise in, creating brand designs from the ground up is one my favourite types of project to get stuck into.

  • Absolutely! Rebranding can often be a difficult decision to come to but ultimately if your brand is holding you back, it’s time to jump ship. I’ll be here with the life ring.

  • Yes! Printed materials are still a strong part of your visual identity and I have a great background in print design to help you with this.

Questions about my work process

  • I use a meticulously crafted, 6 step process to ensure you get your dream brand in the most efficient manner:

    Step 1. Contract & Deposit.

    Step 2. Brief & Moodboards.

    Step 3. Discovery Call.

    Step 4. Creation.

    Step 5. Feedback.

    Step 6. Sign Off.

  • This partly depends on the size of the project and quality work takes time, but generally I like to keep things between 2-3 weeks.

  • This is based on a number of things, but I like to think of myself as a friendly and easy-going chap so the chances are that we’ll get on.

Does my work match the aesthetic you’re looking for?

I have some great reviews from my lovely clients that you can read here.

Do my services meet your needs? (I’m a one stop shop for all things branding, so this shouldn’t be an issue, hint, wink).

Does your budget align with my services?

Money talk is yawn, but a necessity. I provide a full and extensive service and generally steer clear from a “quick job” as they never provide longevity. My aim is to help your brand last. But if there’s one thing I’m not, it’s a rip off merchant! And one thing I am is transparent.

I have developed a number of packages to make my services more affordable for everyone, branding packages start at £1,750 and photography at £325. However, I understand everyone’s situations are different, so I’m always open to chat.

  • No drama here. The brand designs I create are heavily based on a number of elements which include your brief & moodboard (this is why it’s really important to get these right and give as much as info as you possibly can), my research on your target market and your services, and finally your brand’s story.

The final product will be what I see as the very best depiction of the above elements and one that will serve your brand with the highest possible chance of success. I will always explain my reasoning on the design but if you’re still not 100% on it then there are 3 rounds of amends included within the project for us to make changes. But keep in mind, these should align with your project brief so we can stay on track.

  • Rain, my arch enemy. I actually love the rain, but my cameras not so much! Overcast days aren’t usually much of a problem, sometimes it can work out even better. Every situation is different but I’ll keep you informed at all times.

I always keep an eye on the forecast for a few days prior to the booking and will keep you updated with a heads up if it’s looking rough. I always recommend any final decisions aren’t made until the day of the shoot as I find the forecast frequently changes.

Most importantly, I’m always flexible. Rescheduling will always depend on the type of shoot and the location. If the weather allows for a bit a reshuffle on the day, then that’s always an option but if not then we can reschedule for another day when we are both available.

  • I don’t want to keep you in too much anticipation! So I always aim to deliver the final images within 1-2 weeks of our shoot. At busier times I’ll always let you know if I think it’s going to take a little longer.
