My Streats.
My Streats is a social-networking app of sorts but built specifically for the street food industry. It’s a one-stop shop for all vendors’ customer outreach and update needs.
In one app, vendors can effectively keep customers up to date with their trading locations, trading hours, menu, and prices.
The Concept.
The main focus for My Streats is street food, so the logo needs to reflect an urban, edgy and fun vibe to attract the target market. My Streats provides a straightforward and no nonsense solution for street food discovery, so naturally their identity should match this persona.
I saw the My Streats app as a digital map that gave users directions to their favourite foods. So from this, a street sign was determined as a suitable symbol to use for the logo as it fit the brief for urban and ‘street’ food and also as a direction tool and shop sign.
The product.
The final design landed on a combination mark logo, incorporating a directional arrow street sign and a typical urban, wall mounted shop sign.
The design plays really well into the brand and target market, it’s playful but remains urban and edgy.
The clever name ‘Streats’ was emphasised by adding an additional colour to the ‘eat’ portion of the word and an underline to give it a punchy and bold status.
As part of the ultimate package, app and web design, additional marketing materials and design elements were also created to further cement the My Streats visual identity and produce a really strong, memorable brand
The end result.
A bold, edgy and playful logo that can retain the same shape across multiple media platforms, making it incredibly versatile.
